Activities

The Branson Community Center offers a variety of ongoing, weekly, and monthly activities. Click on the Activities Calendar to see the current month’s schedule. See below for a brief description of some of our more popular activities.

Entertainment, Speakers, and Games

Stay after lunch to participate in a variety of events to help improve your life, health, and happiness. The Senior Center plans special guest speakers once a month on the topics of Health and Nutrition. They also periodically bring in local entertainers to perform during lunch for your entertainment.

Fitness Classes

A variety of fitness classes are available, including Chair Exercises, Yoga, and Zumba. The Zumba Gold Class is great for older adults who are looking for all the moves you love at a lower intensity. Chair Exercises are held on Mondays at 12:45pm. Click here for the schedule & fees.

Arts, Crafts, and Fun Activities

The Branson Community Center offers a wide variety of classes, groups, and activities for all ages, including painting and quilting for those who like to get "hands-on" with their projects. Check out the activities calendar for dates and times.

Crochet Club

The Crochet Club meets Mondays at 10:30am. The Crochet Club makes a variety of items to donate to local charities and organizations. Join us today!

Quilting

The Tri-Lakes Quilters offer hand quilting for the public. Drop by the Community Center to bring in your quilt tops for an estimate (a nominal fee is charged). The quilting group will hand-stitch them into a family treasure. Quilters "Have Needle Will Stitch" group meets on Tuesday and Thursday from 8:30am-12:30pm. 

Branson Dance Club

Drop into our monthly Dance held on Saturday once a month from 7:00-9:30pm at the Branson Community Center. Click here for dates and more information.

BINGO!

Join us for Bingo every Wednesday at 12:45pm, right after lunch. It's Free! Call Traci at (417)337-8510 to find out how to become a Bingo sponsor. 

Foot Clinic

SeniorAge offers a $5 foot clinic. Dates vary and you will need to call (417)335-4801 to make an appointment.

Beginner Mountain Dulcimer Lessons

The Appalachian Dulcimer or mountain dulcimer is a fretted string instrument of the Zither family, typically with three or four strings.  If you would like to learn how to play this instrument or have questions, please call Tom or Bev Arnold at (417)239-0223. Lessons are on the 2nd Monday evening of each month from 6-7:30pm. Click here for the flyer. 

Brush and Canvas Art Group

2nd & 4th Fridays at 12:30pm
Bring your supplies and paint independently or follow along with the group instructor, Jim. 

Alzheimer's Support Group Meeting

This support group offers comfort and reassurance for caregivers and can be a good source of practical advice. Click here for meeting dates and times.
