Your Branson Fire Department

The Branson Fire Department was organized shortly after incorporation as a City in 1912.  The first ordinance on record for the fire department was documented in 1913 describing the duties of a Fire Warden.  The City purchased its first motorized fire apparatus in 1927.  The fire department was staffed by community volunteers for most of these years.  In 1993 the first six career firefighters were hired to serve the community.

Today, Branson Fire Rescue is a full service fire department operating from three fire stations.  Each of the fire stations are budgeted to have four personnel on duty each day.  This includes a Fire Captain, an Engineer, and two Firefighters.  This provides staffing for two Fire Engines and a Ladder Truck staffed 24 hours a day.  These crews work a 24 hour shift on duty with 48 hours off.  The Fire Department is supported by a Fire Chief, Division Chief - Operations including a Battalion Chief of Operations and a Battalion Chief of Training & Safety plus a Division Chief – Technical Services and a Fire Marshal.  Our ISO Protection Rating is a Class 3.
