The Branson Home Depot has teamed up with Branson Fire Rescue as a community service partner by donating nearly $600 in lumber and materials for the use in technical rescue incidents.
Home Depot’s donation includes treated lumber, plywood sheeting, and screw fasteners for use in emergency incidents. Each year Branson Fire Rescue responds to multiple incidents involving improvised structures and occasionally incidents involving rescues from utility trenches.
“This donation will help us save lives by assisting us in incidents involving trench and structural collapse rescues by bringing the needed supplies to the scene,” said Branson Fire Chief Ted Martin.
The donated materials will be housed in the special operations trailer for quick transport to any emergency it is needed at.
“We are beyond thankful for businesses like The Home Depot – Branson that take the extra step in service to their community," Chief Martin said.
