Mayor Larry Milton wishes to express his sincere condolences on behalf of himself, his colleagues on the Board of Aldermen and the City of Branson, to the family of former longtime Branson musician, Randy McConnell who has recently passed away.

“Randy was a Branson institution and had performed on stages across our city to the delight of many," said Mayor Milton. "We grieve with his family during this difficult time and our thoughts and prayers will stay with them as they navigate the way forward.”

Alderman Clay Cooper (Ward I) knew McConnell for over 25 years and says McConnell was a compassionate, kind-hearted and loving person who will be missed.

“He has worked in our town for decades and has always been the glue that keeps the groove together in any band that he has been a part of. More than his passion for music, he had a deep dedication to his faith, family and friends. He was a strong follower of Christ and it showed in how he lived his life and treated others around him. Rest in peace my friend,” said Alderman Cooper.

McConnell had been performing at the Branson Famous Baldknobbers Theater for the past three years.
