Acting Board President Bob Simmons and Mayor Edd Akers recognized and thanked outgoing Aldermen Rick Castillon (Ward II) and Brian Clonts (Ward III) for their service to the City and presented each a plaque.
“These jobs…if you see any of these committees they serve on…it’s not easy to put in that kind of time and donate it to community service and we really appreciate it,” said Alderman Simmons.
Alderman Castillon was first elected from 2016-2018 and was re-elected from 2018-2020. He served on the Capital Improvement Committee, the Human Resources Committee, was the Chamber of Commerce Representative and was on the Transportation Development District (TDD) Board. Alderman Clonts was first appointed from 2018-2019 and then elected for a one year term from 2019-2020. Clonts served on the Budget and Finance Committee, the Human Resources Committee, and the TDD Board.
