The Branson Police Department has arrested a man who has been linked to a string of recent burglaries and thefts in the Branson area.

Beginning April 7 the Branson Police Department started receiving an unusual amount of commercial burglary calls. Upon investigation, the majority had the same method of operation by the suspect to gain entry to the businesses. The police department analyzed the reports and increased patrols in an effort to catch this burglar.

On May 1, Branson Officers responded to a commercial burglar alarm. The suspect was not located at that business, however, entry had been attempted by the burglar. Officers scoured the area and found 33-year old Christopher Steven Stowell behind a closed business with a bag of burglar tools.

After more investigation, Stowell was found to be in possession of stolen property ultimately linking him to the eleven commercial burglaries and three acts of stealing from a motor vehicle. Four more commercial burglaries are still under investigation.

Stowell is homeless and was living out of his vehicle. Charges have been filed and warrants have been issued for the charges of:
