Branson Police Respond to Home Invasion

Branson Police responded to a report of a home invasion Saturday evening after a family reported two men had forced entry to their home robbing the couple of personal possessions including jewelry. The two men ran from the home leaving the husband and wife scared, but unharmed. The robbery occurred in a home located in the Cantwell Subdivision near the intersection of State Highways 76 and 65.
The two suspects were apprehended and taken into custody early Sunday morning by police officers with all the stolen personal property recovered. The quick arrest was successful thanks to the tenacity and teamwork of the police officers involved in both the investigation and apprehension of these armed and dangerous suspects. Both are being held in the Taney County Jail pending the filing of charges by the Taney County Prosecutor’s Office. Name and charges of the suspects will be released once charges have been filed. The police department is thankful for the assistance of area businesses and residents that provided information and resources for the investigation that led to the quick arrest of the two suspects. Branson Police remind residents to use perimeter lighting around their home, to keep cars locked, and to report suspicious persons in their neighborhood by calling 9-1-1.
