Municipal Court

Responsibilities

The Municipal Court for the City of Branson is a division of the Circuit Court of Taney County, 46th Judicial Circuit. The Court handles alleged traffic, ordinance, and parking violations along with overseeing court appearances, fine payments, and community service. The Municipal Court Judge is appointed to hear cases brought before the Court by the City Prosecutor on court dates.

Location

The municipal courtroom is located on the second floor of City Hall at 110 W. Maddux Street, next to the City Clerk’s office. Court is held every Wednesday, with trials and attorney dockets scheduled at varying dates and times. Please contact the Court for specific court dates.

Hours & Payments

Hours of operation for payment of fines are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Payment methods include: Cash, MC, Visa, money orders, and cashier’s checks. Credit card payments are not accepted over the phone. Online payments are available for some violations. Some violations will require a court appearance; please contact the Court for additional information.

For specific information on a ticket, please wait 10 days from the violation date in order for the ticket to be processed to the Court.
